Africa Atlantic has partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Science, Technology and Globalization Project at the Harvard Kennedy School to develop and launch a series of African Agribusiness Knowledge Centers, training hubs that will facilitate industry training of farmers as entrepreneurs, as well as innovation in sustainable economic, environmental and social impact designs.
With a completely separate legal entity and financing, Africa Atlantic Holdings Ltd is organizing ground-breaking initiatives to protect the environment and train local farmers as entrepreneurs.
“Access is critical to social development and to commercial success,” said Africa Atlantic CEO, Jon Vandenheuvel. “The economic and social components have to scale simultaneously or else the entire model implodes. The Knowledge Centers secure the footings of each of these components and we’re committed to them.”
